A trip down memory lane... (or, 'one i prepared earlier'). This is Cotton Beach at Casuarina. A resort style residential apartment building on the beach. I based the port-cochere roof design on the abundant cuttlefish that wash up on the beach.
Stage 2, B2 to start soon. By PZa.Through a thoughtful mix of retail spaces, B1 Pimpama has been designed to create a dynamic and engaging environment for the residents of Pimpama. With a diverse range of shops and services available, residents can find everything they need in one convenient location. We’re proud to have played a part in creating an environment that enriches the lives of residents and contributes to the prosperity of the community! #retail #development #construction
This is Cedar Creek State Primary. It is a rural school half way west between Pimpama and Jimboomba. It has a total of 230 students. A while back PZa did a proposal to enclose their existing steel framed, open-walled play & assembly shelter, into a fully enclosed Sports Hall, Refurbished Performing Arts Stage and new OSH (Outside Hours) Facilities. Over the holidays these works were completed. The photos below have inserts of the BEFORE building. The larger shot is the resulting AFTER shot. The school and the Department of Education are very happy with the result. As are we. By PZa.

Place Design Group worked alongside Gold Coast Waterways Authority to deliver this award–winning iconic public space. The redevelopment of the Gold Coast’s Spit was undertaken for the community, by the community, with the aim of revitalizing one of the area’s much-loved destinations. This initial stage of The Spit Master Plan’s implementation showcases how a community vision for connected spaces can result in an iconic destination, linking the coastal landscape with The Broadwater and its hinterland backdrop.![]()
